Lelouch discovers that the young Chinese Empress Tianzi is being coerced into marrying First Prince Odysseus u Britannia. The High Eunuchs orchestrated the union to gain Britannian nobility, handing over half of China’s territory to Second Prince Schneizel el Britannia as payment. As the wedding ceremony starts, Li Xingke launches a coup to overthrow the Eunuchs and free the Empress. But before he can reach her, Lelouch appears and takes Tianzi hostage. Meanwhile, V.V. readies Jeremiah Gottwald to strike against Lelouch and C.C.
