As a scorching heat wave sweeps through the city, Alex steps up as the Trauma Team Leader at the hospital, which is overwhelmed by a surge of patients during a power outage. With no alternative power source in sight, Dawn and Charlie scramble to find a solution to proceed with their surgical procedure. Simultaneously, Joel and Maggie are trapped in an elevator, desperately working to stabilize a patient in critical condition.
